Located in the administrative areas of Tan Lap, Tan Binh, Hoa Hiep and Thanh Tay communes of Tan Bien district, which is c. 30 km from Tay Ninh city in the northwest.

Description: |
Situated in the transition between Central Highlands, Southern Lowlands, and the Mekong Delta, Lo Go-Xa Mat supports low hills, seasonal inundated grasslands and swamps, natural rivers and streams etc. This combination is very rarely found where else in Vietnam. It is an Important Bird Area due to the presence of a number of globally threatened birds and restricted-range species

Unique Flora: |
The endemic and para-endemic consist of 3 groups: (1) species such as Habenaria rostrata, Pectelis susannae, Dendrobium leonis, and Micropera pallida (Orchidaceae) are restricted to dipterocarp forests in south Indochina from east Thailand to Cambodia and some parts in south Vietnam; (2) species such as Colona auriculata (Tiliaceae), Dalechampia falcate (Euphorbiaceae), and Decaschistia parviflora (Malvaceae) which are endemic to Vietnam and some adjacent provinces of Cambodia; and (3) species such as Malleola seidenfadenii (Orchidaceae), Phoenx loureiroi (Arecaceae), and Villarsia rhomboidalis (Menyanthaceae) are endemic to Indochina (Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia).

Unique Fauna: |
Endangered mammal species include langur species: Trachypithecus germaini and Pygathrix nigripes (IUCN); endangered reptiles include Yellow-headed Temple Turtle (Heosemys annandalii) and Indotestudo elongata (Indotestudo elongata) and several vulnerable mammal, bird and species as well as the critically endangered Sunda Pangolin

Historical tourism: Site visit to the historical relics such as resistant base of Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam (PRG), PRG’s Radio, Tran Phu Printing House, and Vietnam’s News Agency.
