This video shows the dispersion of passive particles within the entire AMS, as advected by ocean currents during the Southwest Monsoon. Daily global surface currents from the COPERNICUS-GLOBCURRENT dataset were used in a Lagrangian model, to obtain the particle trajectories from a single release made on all coastline cells. Day 1 shows the particle positions at the point of origin, and Day 90 shows the particle positions at the end of the run. For this case, a total of 179,000 particles were released.
