Covers 47,270 hectares (protected area– 31,236 hectares; buffer zone – 16,034hectares) in the north central portion of the province of Bukidnon.

Description: |
One of the few remaining rainforests in the Philippines where one can still find the Philippine Eagle; ancestral domain of the Talaandig, Higaonon and Bukidnon ethnolinguistic groups that share common historical and cultural ties with Mt. Kitanglad; more than a dozen mountain peaks, densely forested slopes, a number of caves, several waterfalls and a hot spring can be found in the Park.

Habitat Types: |
Six major habitat types, ranging from lowland evergreen forest, which is the most species-rich forest formation, lower montane forest, upper montane (mossy) forest, grasslands, freshwater wetlands and caves.

Unique Flora: |
Medinilla; Rafflesia; Families Suidae and Cervidae, Tmesipteris lanceolata, an endangered rootless vascular plant.

Unique Fauna: |
Whitehead’s swiftlet; Mindanao lorikeet; Mindanao racquet-tail; Mindanao scops owl; slaty-backed jungle-fl ycatcher; red-eared parrot finch; Apo myna; Philippine brown deer; and the Mindanao pygmy fruit bat (Alionysteris paucidentata); Philippine eagle.

Ecotourism Destination and Activities: |
Hiking to the peaks of Mt. Kitanglad and Mt. Dulang-Dulang; camping at Cinchona Forest Reserve; bird watching; and treks to the various waterfalls in the park.
