Target 20: By 2020, mechanisms for management of access to, sharing of benefits derived from and monitoring of utilization of genetic resources are integrated.

Thailand has assigned several agencies for regulating access and benefit sharing of natural resources and biodiversity, including law enforcement agencies and agencies in procession of biological resources for technical purposes. Therefore, mechanisms for managing the access and benefit sharing need to be integrated to provide a common directive for protecting national rights and interests over biological resources and enhancing the sharing of benefits derived from biodiversity.
