Wakatobi National Park

Located in Wakatobi District, Southeast Sulawesi Province
Located in the park is the Kaledupa Atoll which is also well-known as the longest single atoll in Asia Pacific region
The park has marine ecosystems (mangrove, seagrass and coral reefs)
11 species of seagrass where Thalassodendron ciliatum is most commonly found; 22 species of mangroves
Some protected specied found in the park are Yellow-Crested Cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea), Pacific Reef Heron (Egretta sacra), Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill Sea Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Akar Bahar (Anthiphates, spp), Coconut Crab (Birgus latro), Horned Helmet (Cassis cornuta), Triton's trumpet (Charonia tritonis), Tridacna spp, Nautilus, green snail, etc.

• 32 species of 20 true mangrove families and 8 mangrove associates
• 17 families and 85 species of birds
